If a Chauffeur Company in the UK is not legally Licensed, in the event of a serious accident, both the Booker and Director of the company organising the transport, as well as the Chauffeur company, will be prosecuted and can be fined between £5,000 & £100,000, and in fatal incidents, even face jail.
How to check a company is Licensed
Licensed Chauffeur companies will display their ‘Licence Number’ on their contact page.
The Licence Begins with the letters PO followed by 3 or 4 numbers.
